Hi there.
I'm looking for a signed copy of brain salad surgery by ELP, can anyone point me in the right direction? I nearly bought one from MMP but glad I looked on this forum first! So it seems there are more fakes than real out there, any help would be greatly appreciated.
Just to add they said the COA was from 'www.autographsauthenticationservice.com'
When I clicked on the link I received lots of virus notifications etc, they must be a bit of a con. Anyone throw any light on them? Or recommend a legitimate authentication site?
It's great to see another person interested in ELP here. I thought I was the only one haha
I'll keep an eye out for you as I enjoy looking for legit signed ELP items.
Do you care if it's the cover signed or the insert poster signed?
Here's a few from Roger Epperson
Thanks for reply goodcat. Yes have loved them since my schooldays and that was way back when Brain salad surgery came out!
Some nice items on that Roger Epperton link, I want something I can frame but the signed poster is exellent! There is the booklet signed by Keith and greg that would frame well and I could always try to get carl to sign it as I got his signature before for a drummer friend. But yes I had the album cover in mind or better still the inside art of the strange woman like in my profile pic.
I would also like to get the original art print signed by the artist H R Giger to frame as a pair.
U may be interested in this recent purchase which is another ELP album cover. I also have the cd cover signed by Keith and Carl.
It's at the framers as we speak :)
Thanks again and we may be the last ELP fans left.
(at least it will keep the prices down! )
Great poster David, thx for sharing.
I'll keep an eye out for you.
The first super group and still one of the best bands ever. Glad I was lucky enough to see them in concert and bumped into them the next day at their hotel by coincidence. That was a pleasant surprise. But I didn't ask for autographs...oops
Yes I usually feel embarrassed to ask, then regret it for the rest of my life! Never got to see them unfortunately. Thanks again. Will share the signed cover when I get home on Friday. ..see if it's a fake!!
I'll look forward to seeing you post that item.
I was happy with his description of its provenance which I have provdied below, the gig did take place and keith did get up to do a song.
Here’s an ELP that I have. Another fan!! Lol
Here
Then there were three... lol wrong band.
Wow love that and nicely presented, how did you come by it, did you get them in person? I found myself drawn back to them after Keith died and then Greg, and started an interest in memorabilia as well as their music, perhaps because the chance to meet or see them live had passed. Great piece Bill thanks for that.
Got it from Epperson awhile ago. I saw an article on these signed tambourines. They were given out to some people during the Black Moon era. I like the long hair era too. Same with Queen, the long hair era!!
