Hello All,

Just got this autographed index card from RRAuction. It is signed "To Ed, Bruce Springsteen". I am not Ed lol. I just wanted to post pictures of it and wanted to see what people think. Also if anyone could date when it was signed that would be great.

Thanks!

Congrats Ciaran, very nice item and sig!! Will look good at your wall. I will guess its mid-to-late 80`s.

Thanks Trond, getting a frame for it tomorrow and then on the wall it goes :P

That is great. Nice with a older, not so rushed sig from Bruce! :-)

Does anybody else have a view on this? It doesn't look right to me?
How come you feel that way? It was authenticated by Roger Epperson with rrauction.
I am in no way knocking Roger as he knows his stuff, but it doesn't look like any of my in-person Springsteen signatures. Attached is one I obtained in 1999 from Bruce for comparison.

Thats a nice one Richard! Like it. But its typical end of 90`s - beginning of 2000`s. I have a couple of those myself.  I think Ciarans is more typical for mid-80`s. And I am quite sure its legit. :-)

Thank you. I have some 70's and 80's signatures also and mine are slightly different to the card in the initial post.

I trust Roger's expert opinion and not saying I am right, just giving my personal opinion.

All the best to all.

Thanks for posting and nice sig, i emailed roger before i bought it and he said it had been ok'd by him so thats why i bought it. Id like to see some more opinions from others for a general view of what people think of it.

All opinions is respected, as we are here for discussions like this. The most interesting about Bruce`s signature is that it has changed quite much through different periods. If one finds a sig from him, the first one have to find out is what period its from.. His sigs from one period is difficult to compare to ones from other periods. But the ones from the same period are easier to compare. (Just look at his "S" in the 70`s compared to the 80`s, or the "B" changing during the 80`s.) Would be extremely interesting to get a signature-study of him.

Take for instance these 3 guaranteed legit autographs, from 3 different periods of his life. Its not easy to compare them, but they are all real. (Not all of them nice, but thats another discussion)

Sorry to bump this up but i would love a few more opinions on this item i bought. Thanks
