Hi, I found this one on Ebay, seller says its signed in 1973 right after the release of his first album. Never seen an autograph this old, and the price is all too high I think. Bruce was unknown to most people in 73, and maybe his signature looked like that back then?

I have had some dealings with Billy from Walls of Fame.  Roger has said to me that anything from this person needs to really be looked at.  I had a Born in the USA album for 15 years on the wall framed and I sent it to Roger for his opinion and he came back with Not Good.  He even knew exactly were I got it from.  I emailed Billy and he said that he would give me a full refund no questions asked.

Billy is a super nice guy... I am not sure what to think about all the Springsteen stuff coming from him, turning out as bad.  It is still actually not really sunk in I guess....

Look at how slow and contrived the salutation and inscription are done.  It looks forced to me.

Thanks Roger, for chipping in at this mystery. A lot of indications that its a forgery then, Roger not liking it, the COA from Walls of Fame, and the mystery how a person allegedly in Norway just ships to the US.

I`ve asked the seller some questions on ebay, will be interesting to see what he answers.

here`s a few handwritten items from 75 to compare with.... IMO it looks very authentic. Anyway, I`m no expert in BS, just looking for the "truth" as everybody else:)

Wow those are amazing Bjarte! Very interesting too, I read about the first letter on the net some months ago, trying to find the site. Are those yours? Really fantastic items!!

Update: found it:

Its actually mentioned several places on the net.

I WISH they were mine....every day!

Sadly they aren`t....

But they are great references to his early handwriting:)

Yes, they really are! Those must be a Bruce-fan and autograph-collectors big DREAM.

Here we are talking about real big value too, at least the amount the seller of the Asbury Park-album we are discussing here wants for his item...

I`m really quite confused right now, but I would rather listen to Roger here, if he is negative about an autograph by Bruce, I wouldn`t touch it.

I have a friend who has 2 original set lists from the 1999 tour.. I am tying to get one of them from him.

What value would you put on a set list - original (not a photo copy) in the hand of Bruce.????

thanks

MArk

Interesting Mark, thats a difficult one... Maybe you could get a couple of photos of it and post here? Of course someone with the insight should verify its real before you buy it...

Correct - you can get copies of his set lists pretty easy on the web... its looking at it and making sure its not a copy. I will keep you posted..

I made an offer of $500 for it.. I am pretty sure that is on the low side.  yes?

I would guess so.. Are they all hand-written? Of course that would increase the value considerably. Think one have to see it to determine its value.

And of course find out if they are real from Bruce`s hand.

Bruce almost has as many variations to his autograph as Elvis.  I guess he is following in his idol's footsteps in that regard.
