Can anyone give some input on this MJ alleged game worn warm up suit?

The seller seems to be ok, but given the fact that it comes from Vintage Authentics, I can't help but to think it may have been tamoered with in some way. Does anyone know if this has the proper/original tagging, etc? Thanks!!

It also seems like a VERY good price for such a desirable piece. The seller said hes selling it for what he paid for it and will give $$$ back if its determined not authentic. Is it worth the RISK?? Thanks

The seller looks good but I did find some bad history on the owner of vintage authentics.  I was at the convention center the day they took the owner away in hand cuffs.  I never knew why, but now I know.  Read the article below.

Thanks,

Jonah

I thought the name sounded familiar. I wouldn't buy something purported to be game-worn without ironclad authenticity.

Yikes, after seeing what Jonah posted, even if this seller looked great, i personally wouldnt buy it. Not when the original owner was arrested for faking the same type of stuff. It seems like the reason its probably for sale at a good price, is the seller knows something is off. Game worn stuff is also hard to authenticate especially when not signed. So this would be a hard piece to get authenticated, so that is probably where this sellers guarantee is coming into play. As it would probably take considerable time and effort to get it authenticated, and the average buyer probably wouldnt do this. The seller may be unaware though, but with the original seller being busted by the feds for selling the same type of stuff, its almost a certainty this item is probably bad as well.

Hope this helps

Thanks Guys! Jonah, yeah I read that stuff and its very shady. I don't know if there's such a thing as ironclad authenticity for this piece, sans a letter from MJ or the Bulls. Trapper, I agree, I have no idea if it's even possible to Authenticate such a piece. It does have a Lampson letter, but I doubt that's worth the paper it was written on being that he wrote it for Vintage..I know the seller is aware of the bust, but he is standing by the authenticity. I'm going to pass, bc at best it's just gonna be a headache. Thanks for all the help!!

Ironclad authenticity like having the player himself or herself put the item up for sale themselves, like Dr. J did with his memorabilia: http://www.scpauctions.com/Catalog.aspx?category=382&auctionid=17. Or maybe a one of a kind Elvis item, impossibly reproduced with a letter of authenticity from EPE: http://www.gottahaverockandroll.com/LotDetail.aspx?lotid=11412&...

That's the way I feel about this game-worn stuff. Too easy to b*******.
