I had been watching this "Snoopy" sketch on eBay that sold yesterday. But the more I looked at it, the more I was convinced it is NOT genuine. The big thing that jumped out is the "r" in Charles which is way off from any Schulz signature I've ever seen. In about 25 exemplars I looked at Never did his "r" go on for so long, as though someone hesitated for a loong time......... But it sold for over $800.
All of that seller's completed sketch auctions are bogus.
By the way, on ebay you have to go out of your way to resize pics that small and bypass the zoom feature, which there is absolutely no reason to do unless you're trying to hide something.
I looked at a Dr. Seuss that he had for sale about a month ago. I sent him an email asking for a closeup as the photo was a bit blurry. He told me no problem, he would send it right away. Of course, he never sent the closeup and i passed on bidding (fortunately). When the seller won't provide a better scan, head the other way!
