Does anyone recognize this signature?

These stamps were given to me as a gift years ago and I've grown curious as whose autograph this could possibly be. The Stamps are 1972 8 Cent Tom Sawyer (Offset colors/printing error). The original artist was Norman Rockwell. I can't even really make out the name from the signature, if someone can even figure that out, I might be able to track down who signed these. I'd like to know if it is really connected to Tom Sawyer or Norman Rockwell in some way.

The signature is Jack Callahan, the model for the painting.
