My wife bought this signed Emmitt Smith helmet for me sometime around 1996. I always assumed it was real and never really questioned it. But, now after reading about so many forgeries, I have to wonder about it. It came with a LOA from Baseball Pictorial Inc in Killeen, Texas that states it "was obtained through shows or private signings by myself or one of my associates". I've googled Baseball Pictorial and found nothing. The helmet itself was purchased from a memorabilia store that was located in a mall in Knoxville Tennessee at the time. Thanks for your opinions.

Here is a in person Emmitt that I obtained within the past year. From the looks of the helmet I would say no. But look at the one attached and compare for yourself.

I wouldn't go by that recent signature.  I believe the characteristics, including slant have changed over the years. he has had this since 1996.

looks real to me.  a little sloppy compared to the ball I had signed by him in 1997 but it looks legit to me.  I no longer have the ball so I cannot post a pic.
