many of you baseball fans will be familiar with Mike Marshall, the durable reliever who had a reputation for not signing autographs throughout his career and for many years after that.

Over the past few years, he has apparently conducted private signings, and there are a handful of his autographs, all signed "Dr. Mike Marshall", currently on ebay.

This one is strange.  Not only is the signature itself questionable, for the life of me I cannot see how the first name here resembles "Mike" in any way, shape or form.

does anyone know of any nickname that perhaps he would sign this one time?

I find it hard to believe that JSA would authenticate this, honestly.

This looks like the ones he signed in one of the early signings. Here are few that are psa-dna authenticated. I dont think anything is wrong with it .

I think he put M.G. Marshall as his full name is DR. Michael Grant Marshall .

When I look thru major auctions houses past auctions such as Heritage and American Memorabilia they sold the same style autograph many times before all with PSA certs. It looks to be 100% authentic .

Anthony, thank you for explaining this.  the rest of the signatures I have seen were just Dr. Mike.  I did not realize he signed with this middle initial. that explains the difference, thanks!

From what it looks like from the dating of the items signed . They are all pre 2000 even around 1990's. The baseball looks to be a earlier National League ball. The photo is early photo file type. He must have signed like this in one of his first signings.
