Ebay Alert- A lot fake Griffey Game used Memorablilia --- EBay seller- Riconn_4 and others

This seller and others have been posting numerous game used auctions.. He posted an auction for Griffey game used batting gloves and wristbands..

One major issue is that Junior never used Rawlings batting gloves in wristbands in his professional career. In his rookie year and in the early 90's Griffey wore Franklin batting gloves, some of which had "Junior" on the wrist strap.

Griffey would then move to Nike batting gloves and wristbands for the rest of his career. Many of which have distinct markings..

I have also seen several jerseys marketed as Griffey game used. Some of which have "Griffey JR" on the name plate on the back of the jersey.. Griffey never wore a jersey with "Griffey Jr" on the name plate even when he played with his dad in Seattle. Some have the incorrect tagging.

Before you buy any Griffey game used memorabilia please send me a message and I will look over it for you. I have studied Jr a lot and can usually tell you if it's fake or likely genuine and even tell you the season he wore it.

A good rule of thumb on Griffey game used memorabilia is to look for Junior signed and issued COAs from Unique Sports or Coast to Coast Sports.. These are Seattle based memorabilia shops that Junior had agreements with in his Seattle playing days, he made numerous game used items available to them in that era. He has also made some items available through Upper Deck, and through the Cincinnati Reds directly.

I have reported all the items I noticed to Ebay, but none are being taken down.
