Hello. New to autograph collecting and the more I read the more I think everything is fake. The eBay seller price31collector has numerous Hollywood and sports autographs and he starts them all at .95 cents the autographs he has from the world of hockey look pretty good but the other stuff just seems to good to be true. Attached is a Mario Lemieux he has for sale and a Bryan Cranston.

My first impression is that these are forgeries across the board.  I can tell you that Hull, Favre and Montana look forged, and there is a general sense that these things don't feel right overall - slowly, methodically signed in contrast to the authentic examples.

I can can tell you that having zero authentication for players like Montana, Brees, Favre, Brady, etc. is a legit red flag.

Yeah the Brady signatures look bad and the fact that his private signings go for $600 is sort of a clue. Somewhat surprising though that he has been a member since 2000 and selling a pretty high volume and not been checked by eBay or one if his buyers.

Favre (obviously fake) w/ no Favre holo, Brees w/ no Brees holo, Montana w/ no Montana holo  . . .

When you step back and look at the whole picture, it's obvious that this guy is selling forgeries.

Does eBay have any interest in going after these people? Would some of their signatures failing 3rd party identification help eBay go after people like this.

Ebay's interest in doin the right thing has always been a bit questionable and has decidedly worsened over the past year.  Keep in mind, they get a cut of the profits, so . . .

Okay, this HAS to be shill bidding at work.  19 bids?!  Authentic Favre autographs are easy to find.

I guess it's just agressive stupidity then.

2 of his hockey items passed PSA/DNA as likely genuine. Some of the hockey stuff looks legit everything else looks like blatant forgeries. And I am a novice!

All of the non hockey autographs have been pulled from ebay but have re-appeared on a website called http://auction.legendsdepot.com .  This person is directly connected to price31collector, they share the same shipping addresses.  The owner of this site is the only store called Starside Signatures.  Spent some time researching this and it's pretty interesting.

The one odd thing is that Starside Signatures has a legitimate relationship with Montreal Candiens Goalie Carey Price.  On Carey Prices' website he sells autographed merchandise with a Starside Signatures COA and holofoil, although the holofoils are not numbered even thought the seller claims them as matching.  This is fun just researching this stuff!

The more you look the more you see.

Yes, I've seen a news report about a pose Carey Price struck after stopping 5 shootout attempts in a row was a homage to his friend, the owner of Starside Signatures. I'd be pretty confident in any of his Canadiens signatures.
