I just picked up this autographed playbill from the fall 2012 solo tour. The signature looks good to me and it cames with a COA - the ebay seller had tons of positive ratings (and no negative) and other autographed items from sports and music looked good.
Does this signature look real to you guys? The "E" is different but from what I've read this is what he is doing now and he changes it up a lot. The rest looks good and the dot at the end is what I've seen as well.
Thoughts? I want to get it framed up - but wanted to get a second opinion as well...

Hi Jamey,
I cant comment on the Vedder, but can you post a link to the sellers auctions. Members might be more familiar with some of his other items, and if those are all good, then this probably is as well.
Good luck
Carl
I checked out the link Jamey, and everything i saw music related looked good. And most was authenticated by JSA which is a very good company. Did the Vedder come with any type of third party authentication?
I wish i could tell you for sure, but i just dont know Vedder well enough to comment. But im sure someone here will. But if the quality of items being sold is any type of a judging factor, then this seller is looking pretty darn good to me. If i had to guess id probably say its good, but definetly wait for more knowledgeable guys to comment. Their are some members on here who are really educated on Vedder.
Unfortunately this looks like a really bad fake.
hi Jerome,
it does looks very close to the PSA/DNA authenticated signatures i have seen
For instance - PSA/DNA #S80476
If one checks at http://www.psacard.com/verification/verify.chtml for the PSA/DNA number above it is authentic.
what exactly would you say is off that makes it a bad fake?
thanks
Arvind
The thing that stands out most is the right slant to the autograph. Take a look at the one you posted that to me looks real. His signature does not slant at all, it is straight up and down. Also the characteristics in the ddie of eddie and edder of vedder are wrong too. Compare the e's in vedder and the V in vedder and also how the v and e connect. All off. The E in eddie also looks very disproportionate in relation to the rest of the eddie when compared to authentic ones. I noticed the seller guarantees the signature will pass any 3rd party authentication. I suggest sending it in to psa and im sure they will also find this is not authentic.
I am a huge Vedder fan and have gotten his autograph a few times. I think this one is just trying to hard to look like a Vedder signature while he would sign his own name with ease. However his Roger Waters and Dave Matthews both look good as does his Derek Jeter. Maybe this was a rushed Vedder signature and he didn't take his time on it like he usually does. I just don't like it and trust it. I would pass on that alone.
Ryan,
There really isnt such a thing as a "rushed vedder graph". Nowadays he doesn't sign right in front of fans anymore. He usually has someone gather up the items and bring them on the bus. He doesn't sign at hotels or airports anymore either. So this item would be in my opinion NOT authentic.
