Been searching, and the more I see, the more I think this variation that I posted isn't authentic..
Here's several photographs with the autograph I am accustomed to seeing from Wallach:
In almost every example, the "E" in Eli is attached to the "l" This last example could be said to have a sort of a less sloppier version of the "E" in the originally posted example but still it seems to be a long shot.
The loop under his name is really peculiar as well.
It may be a more recent in person example, but yes, it does look quite different from what we're used to seeing. Mr. Wallach is now in his late 90's, so I'm not sure what to expect with his autograph these days.
Personally, I'd wait for a better example to pop up.
I decided to do a PSA quick opinion on this one, came back likely genuine! So we can say that this is a good variation to Eli's signature
Your Request for Item "Eli Wallach signed photograph", eBay Lot No. "400269558871", opinion was rendered at "5/23/2013 6:48:46 AM" and the result was:
Response: "Likely Genuine"
Mike I am just curious if you have a Lee Van Cleef signed GBU photo? I have never been happy with any that I have ever seen over the years - either bad signature or way too pricey when real.
