erase inscription????

I have a chuck jones original sketch of bugs bunny that he personally drew. the inscription on the side of it is made out "to bob" , If you were keeping this would you try and erase the inscription or just leave it alone?

I would change my name too bob before I tried to erase it lol, sounds like a cool piece and the inscription on something so rare shouldnt hurt the value, but erasing my damage the item so I wouldnt take the chance.

thats what i was thinking too. Plus after looking at it the inscription is pretty dark so it would take alot to get it off. maybe ill just go to the courthouse and have my name legally changed..lol

Yeah, some inscription removals I've seen have looked so bad that they should have just left it as is.  Can you mat the inscription out?
