Hi Donna,

I'm pretty sure this autograph is authentic.  Fats was a very generous signer through the mail for many years, and your photo looks very similar to one I received by writing to him in the late 90s.  Mine was also signed in ballpoint with the same inscription ("Luck always").  I believe this was his preferred image for sending to fans who wrote to him. 

I met him years later in New Orleans and his in-person autograph was identical to what he had sent me through the mail, which makes me pretty confident that the one you posted is authentic.

RIP, Fats.  Definitely one of the all-time greats....
