Hi guys iv recently been offered a signed star wars carded figure signed to the header card BT no other than George lucas at a London store event some years ago and the vendor was a worker there at the time and hurriedly picked up a standard blue biro pen and asked lucas to sign the card. The vendor has tried to upload the best angle he could but recognised the quality of the signature is not the best. Can anyone give opinion please?.Thanks Ian

Daniels is exactly what it should be.

Hi Pete.Nice to hear from you and thank you for your help as I trust your judgement. The vendor did send scans of him and daniels with the item in question apparently at that event in 2005 but the images was not strong enough to determine a conclusion to the authenticity of the signature.I'm so glad to have come across a genuine item.Ian

Hi Pete and mike, what do you think of these 3 signed by 81 actors on 3 separate vhs video covers?.They are on offer in the UK on a recognised collectors site In the UK.I'm tempted and I can see there are genuine signatures there but not sure with most.

The signatures are fine, all signed at UK shows. While there seems to be a number of deceased signers there such as Boa, Sheard, Brown, Hootkins, Mulholland etc. They seem to have randomly signed covers to films they do not appear in, and the covers themselves seem quite "busy."

The autographs seem real, from what I can see in the scans, but in the grand scheme of things they are a mess with no room and the majority of the important cast signatures are not on there.

No Ford, no Hamill, no Oz, no Guinness, no Cushing, no Lucas.....I think I spotted one Carrie, but she should be on all 3, if you are going to copy names.

If you like them, I say have at them, but I can tell you as an investment, they will not do well.

Hi Pete you've kind of answered what I was thinking regarding the important signatures missing.I also agree to it being a rushed busy peice of collecting.I like it as a decorative item but the vendor is asking $450 which seems a lot?

Well 81 names at 10GBP per sig = 810 GBP which is about $1200 .....so I guess the seller has proven my point that it is a loser financially.

You very correct PeteIf you ddon't mind me asking what would you consider a reasonable price for it considering all the findings. The seller seems to be finding it difficult to sell which again proves what you say.I'd be interested in buying it but don't wish to be a sucker for negative equity. Thanks for your advice by the way.

I really don't know what to tell you. Most collectors that wish to display an item like that will find it hard to display 3 Michael Sheard graphs in one frame.... and not even a single Mark Hamill.

Make an offer you are comfortable with losing, as it will be a tough future sell.

If you gave it to me I'd have trouble finding someone to give it to.

Great advice Pete. And I appreciate what you have said.Top guy.Oh should I get it at a ridiculous price ill upload better scans.Ian
