I have no doubt that the signature is real, however, it is not at all a standard signature from him. Very likely signed in a rush, or while he and / or the person holding the photo were in motion.

Peace of mind regarding authenticity is the main thing for me. If you have no doubt it is real, it speaks volumes to me. But basically the downside of it is that the piece would have a low resale value?

Looks like a few of the roll down signatures I've seen, I wouldn't want to own it but I agree with master Chuka.

Noob question right there, but if you know it's real, what would make you want to back away from it? Poor resale value, for instance?

For someone that wants a Ford autograph in their collection, but doesn't want to drop $500 on a nice sit down signature, this is perfect. You can add this piece for a fraction of the cost, but as pointed out above, this is not ever going to be an investment item, and years from now it will likely stay around the same value that you paid.

Keep in mind, Harrison is still signing autographs, if he continue at the pace he has set in the last 10 years or so....even the nicer modern signatures are not going to hold value. I say this in all honesty (and regret) as someone who has about 150 pieces signed by the man.

Thank you for that elaborate answer. I feel very fortunate to get your input on this, as well as on other queries I've posted in the past.

I may regret this later if I ever want to invest in autographs, but I think I'm going to go for it. Cleaner and typical 500$ signatures are currently out of my budget, and Blade Runner items are rare enough.

These rushed signatures are barely holding any value now, I've been sitting on a few for a while now. After Harrison passes, the value is going to reside in his nicer signatures and these rushed, hard to authenticate examples will be tough to sell.

Don't forget like Pete said, this is a guy who has been signing autographs for a long time, every collector I know has at least one.. When there are that many out there value is determined on a lot more merits than just authenticity.
