Hi folks,

This is a follow up to another discussion I posted that included a Mantle ball (thanks to terrier8HOF and CEE GEE for the feedback on the Mantle!).  I have an opportunity to purchase a slate etching of Roger Maris hitting his 61st home run.  I'm told that Maris had 61 of these made, and distributed them to friends and family along with a card with the slate number and name of the recipient.   I can't find any information in books or the internet regarding this.  The piece is beautiful, and would be a great get.  It's also quite pricey.

Has anyone heard of these slates?
