HELP! Willie McCovey signed baseball w/ B&J Collectibles COA Legit??

Hey guys,

This is my first post on here, but I have read through a few threads. I really am glad that these exist to help people purchase legitimate memorabilia and not be suckered with the bad stuff.

I have read a number of articles online pertaining to the number of forgeries hurting the interest of collecting sports memorabilia.  Through reading some of these articles about arrests made with people tied to the forgeries, I discovered that the name "B & J Collectibles" came up numerous times.

When I was 13 years old, the baseball park in my hometown had an auction of signed baseball memorabilia to raise money for the park.  Granted this was almost 17 years ago, I can still some of the items that were available, including signed items by Sandy Koufax, Willie Mays, Harmon Killebrew, and Willie McCovey.

I bid on the Willie McCovey single-signed baseball, and won.  Accompanying the signed ball was a COA from B & J Collectibles of Lakewood NJ (I currently misplaced the COA somewhere in my house, but know with 100% certainty that the COA came from B&J).

I have attached photos of the signature hoping that someone out there could possibly help me determine if it is legit or not.  Thank you ahead of time to whomever can provide any information.  I sincerely appreciat it.

this ball is not authentic in my opinion. it appears to be slowly written, and there is something McCovey does in his last name that is pretty consistent with his authentic signatures, and not present here.

ironically, you will find that another member by the name of Chris Williams will be of great help to you. He knows his stuff when it comes to baseball. Cee Gee is also a huge baseball guy. Im sure you will get some great replies. Good luck
