Hello,

My mother wanted me to try and help her sell this collection. It is from a boat tour she took in Washington DC when she was a teenager. The year was 1956. These  pictures are part of the program but unfortunately the pages were separated.  Elvis did sign it himself in red ink. It is printed on some sort of card stock  paper. She has the other pages from the program and the advertisement from the newspaper.

Would anyone have an idea where she could have this  appraised for authenticity? i dont know where to begin with this.  She needs to sell it to help with her medical  expenses. Any help would be most gratefully appreciated. Thanks, Debbie

ps here is a link I found about the boat tour these are from: ELVIS ON THE POTOMAC

Very nice steel tip signature if I do say so. Why do you need it appraised for authenticity if your mother got it signed herself? Or you want a COA to sell it with? I'd recommend consigning to RR Auction because they get very good prices for someone like Elvis and are the most professional in the business.

Thank you! I don't exactly know what a "steel tip signature" is but it sounds like a good thing! Yes, she would like a COA to sell with it. She thinks it will help to show people that it is indeed a real autograph. I will look into RR Auctions. Do you just give them the photos to sell? Do they have insurance in case something happened to it? Thanks so much!

I meant the fountain pen. You mentioned it was signed in red :). The signature and color are nice because they contrast well against the program.

A nice thing about RR is that they have in-house authenticators plus something like Elvis would be pre-certified by Roger Epperson (music authenticator for JSA). They also achieve the best prices in my opinion more often than not.

I'd suggest reading that page and then contacting them from there. I'd recommend them over other auction houses or throwing it up on eBay.

i think this is nice and rr auction will do a good job for you.
