Yeah, I noticed them a couple days ago.  The U2 stuff isn't even in the ballpark.  Since they're saying they got them in person, they're either liars or the forgers themselves.

And you're right, they look similar to the forgeries coming out of the UK.

hi Rich - i have learned a lot on this forum.

recovered GBP 450 and USD 900 from paypal on returning fakes and getting monies back.

Now my logic is:-

a) buy stuff that is PSA/DNA or JSA authenticated even if a bit expensive. Lot of sellers agree for a fair offer on the Buy It Now listings

b) Buy from sellers with REAL photo proof [exact album being signed and visible clearly] - and impeccable track record and no single suspect listings on sale

c) buy cheap on signatures where i have 100% conviction personally and am willing to take the risk for the low value transaction! Worst case the poster or item looks good as is :-)

I'm not as confident in PSA/DNA as some people, but it's not the worst standard if you're just beginning in this hobby.  If there's something in particular you're looking for, we can always try to help guide you in the right direction.

Can we start a drive where 5 to 6 obeyers collectively report 5 items per seller consistently and let's see if eBay takes those sellers down or not? or it is just not worth it as it is trying to contain a tsunami in a teacup :-) as there are 95% fakes and just 5% real stuff out there

the ones I am familiar with, Fleetwood Mac and the Eagles, are garbage. I stopped looking at that point.

Is there anyway we can all say 4 to 5 people report 5 articles each to eBay as fakes. If it comes from multiple resources we can pull this joker down. I asked him on authentication for laughs and he dodged all questions and eventually excused himself stating he had a death in the family. Levels folks stoop to for a nickel and a dime.
