I've heard the horror stories of signers writing right on the sleeve or toploader, instead of the image itself, but I've taken steps to prevent that.

As such, I'm asking more in general. I can see how some can see them as a hassle--try to get the sleeve, pull it out, pull the photo out of the sleeve, sign it, wait for it to dry, replace the sleeve, feed the sleeve back into the toploader--especially since we're essentially asking them for a favor in signing as it is.

But, at the same time, it'll help keep the photo safe.

So I'm wondering everyone's experience in using toploaders for TTM signings. Will most put up with the hassle or am I better of going another way?
