I realize Mr. Gwynn has been sick, but I am baffled as to how anyone could authenticate the signature on this baseball. Could the cert be fake? Possibly, but the seller goes out of his/her way to show all angles of the ball, and the JSA Sticker. And the number in the database does relate to a Gwynn signed ball.
the other thing that is even more baffling is why anyone would bid on this horrendous example. There is no shortage of Tony Gwynn signed baseballs on ebay (currently over 200 are available) many of them very nice, and many of them can be had for not much more than the current high bid price on this baseball. Suspicious?
