I’m brand new to this forum. I’ve owned my Beatles set of 4 autographs for 22 years. I bought them in Chicago. They came with a LOA from Frank Caiazzo whom I met and spoke with at the time. I thought I’d put them on eBay and did so but didn’t research hardly at all first. Caiazzo appraised them for $1,500 in mid 1996. The prices of a full set of autographs appear to be sky high. My questions-1) How do you know what is a fair price?  2) I’ve seen some autographs advertised with as many as 3 COA’s. Is it suggested to have more than one?  3) Are Beatles Autographs best sold at auction or is Ebay a viable option?  Any other info would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

The best way to get an idea of the value of your autographs is to look at the dealers web sites and see if there are any sets that are similar to yours. Frank Caiazzo’s and Tracks are good places to start. You can also see what the big auction houses are selling Heritage, Bonhams, Christie’s are a few good ones to check out.

You really only need 1 COA if it is by a reputable appraiser such as Frank Caiazzo, Tracks or Roger Epperson.

Where to sell really depends on what it is. For really special items the big auction houses can create a big buzz for their items giving you a good chance at getting top dollar. eBay is good if you have a solid COA and can withstand the barrage of tire kickers!!!

As far as desirability of complete sets of autographs go autograph book pages are near the low end of the scale and cut sets are a bit lower than that. Having said that yours are well presented with a good COA from Frank C,  do that should help.

Thank you for your quick reply. I appreciate your help.
