How much should I expect to pay for Mötley Crüe signed Guitar?

I'm looking to pick up a Mötley Crüe signed guitar. It has all four members autographs. Tommy, Mick, Nikki signed on the body and Vince signed on the guard. It has a LOA from JSA and includes pictures of all 4 signing the exact guitar. Anyone know a ballpark price for something like this?

I'm not sure of the ballpark price - especially if it were at auction. But keep in mind, some of the Crue's recent tours have offered VIP Meet & Greets. It might not be the cheaper option, but probably more fun and you can't beat the provenance of whatever signed item(s) you take home...

That is a thought.  I checked some prices from 2012 for the meet and greet with the Crue.  It runs about $1400.  I am not sure that would guarantee they would sign a guitar for me though.  Does anyone have experience with these meet and greets and the ability to get items signed.  I figure a signed guitar will run $2,000 - $3000 to get a good one signed on the body and not just a pick guard signed and placed on a guitar.  I just like the appearance of the sigs signed on the body and not just crammed together on the guard.

I've never done a meet & greet myself. But, I saw people leaving Slash's meet & greets with guitars. I'm also under the impression Kiss signed whatever you'd put in front of them...I've always kept an eye on the wording of how they promote the VIP ticket: meet "members of the band" does not mean ALL the members. Thats whats scares me off from spending the money. But, the times I've emailed the contact info on the company that hosts these events, I usually get a timely/friendly reply. Not always the answer I was hoping for, though. Hence, never going to one myself.

I agree - I think 2k is the ballpark if coming from a reputable source.

I have done additional reading on some motley Crüe boards and fans have said that at some of the meet and greets they do not sign. It would be cool to meet the band though. I'm getting concerned about Mick Mars health seeing him lately. He may not have many tours left in him.

I just looked at some message boards myself - yeah, thats pretty discouraging. No autos, no photos, and no Tommy Lee. You get one group photo and a pre-signed litho. I assume it comes with great seats for the show, but thats still pretty lame for the price-tag. But I also saw they're announcing their farewell tour soon. Might be now/soon or never. Good luck, TW! (sidenote: I was wrong about Kiss - they won't sign instruments at the meet & greet)

I caved and purchased this Motley Crue signed guitar.  It was expensive but it came with a full Letter of Authenticity from JSA and pictures of the members signing the guitar.  It is a 1970's model Electra guitar and this thing is very heavy.  I added the vinyl decal after I purchased it.

the guitar itself looks like a fun toy for drop tuning. The Motley signatures are the icing on the cake. That is a swell score!

I was very hesitant to buy it but I had been looking for a Motley Crue guitar for a while now and there just are not many out there for sale.  I like my signed guitars to be signed on the body and not just the pick guard so it limits my selection even more.  In the last year I have picked up signed guitars by GnR, ACDC and Motley Crue.  I have my three favorite bands now. I may still pick up a Cinderella if I can find a good one.  It was expensive just like my GnR & ACDC, but I do not regret buying any of them one bit.  It is crazy how difficult it is to obtain a signed instrument with all band members on it.  Makes me wonder if the bands are just refusing to sign these items anymore.  My ACDC was signed in 2000.  My GnR was signed in 2005.  This Motley Crue was signed in 1998 so none are what I would consider recent.

Just thought I'd add in some comments about Motley Crue signed guitars.  I won a contest from the Bob & Tom show to go to Las Vegas to see Motley Crue live at The Hard Rock a couple of weeks ago.  Part of the prize was a meet and greet with the band, although Tommy Lee didn't show up for that.  Another prize component was a Schecter Damien Solo Elite guitar signed by all four band members, which was shipped to me directly.  While my wife and I did get to meet the band and have our photo taken with them, we were not allowed to bring any of our own memorabilia for them to sign.  We were given an autographed poster, the guitar, the photo taken on our own camera, tickets to the show, etc.  Would love to find a true fan who would enjoy this guitar more than I would.

I would love to see a picture of the guitar if you don't mind posting one.

Sorry it's taken me awhile to reply.  I can post a pic or send one to you directly.  Is this something you're interested in buying, or just curious to see the axe?
