Could someone please take a look at the autograph with a sketch of a man I posted in this link, I have tried everything and can not figure this out.  I was hoping it was J D Salinger but at this point I just want to know it is driving me crazy.

This is a hard one to figure out.  I thought either Carl or Capt but can not make out the last name.

The second one is Fannie Ward.

The first one appears to read like Cal "The Deuce" Lotte, but that name doesn't ring a bell to me. Perhaps that will give you a lead to search for on that one.
