I've always been curious about the authenticity of this piece I own and want to know what others think. When I was a kid, I sent a fan mail letter to Derek Jeter asking for an autograph, and was sent this 8x10 photo.  If memory serves me right, the letter was sent to Yankee Stadium, but I wouldn't swear to it because it was a long time ago. I don't remember the exact year, but I want to say this was in 1998 because the photo is a posed shot with Jeter and Chuck Knoblauch, who wasn't a Yankee until early 1998.

There isn't much info on Jeter TTMs that I've been able to find.  James Spence's son wrote an article on the JSA website about Jeter's signing habits, in which he seems to indicate a belief that TTMs from back in the day are good (and that a family member got a TTM response), but that really isn't enough to be sure of anything. Please let me whether you think this signature is an authentic early-career Jeter autograph.
