Is this a legit John Mellencamp?

I'm a bit on the fence for this one. It looks like his signature style varies quite a bit and it's basically a scribble anyhow. Could it be rushed? Any ideas?

Hi there ! Difficult to say as John's signature is nowadays absolutely terrible ! Plus, he's not too keen to sign stuff. I got him to sign a poster for a friend of mine a couple of years ago in London, outside his hotel. He was with Meg Ryan and they both didn't want to sign. They eventually did when my wife asked but John was very unfriendly and the signature he did could have been done by a 3 years old. I was so pissed off that I didn't even ask him to sign my "Big Daddy" lp !

Yeah, that seems to be the problem is that his signature is all over the place and is quite terrible. I'm leaning towards this being one of those in the authentic very rushed signature categories.
