Tyler start by reading my "Most Common Mantle Forgeries and How To Avoid" thread that is under the Authenticity Opinions tab at the top of the website. Study known authentic exemplars. Myself, and others don't like giving "tips" because the forgers will take note of it.

Ryan I understand but I am not "that guy". But thats ok I have spent the last two nights reading everything I can about this mans signature...

Here is an ebay auction WITH A PSA DNA COA that looks absolutely terrible to me.. Item Number 261306583528.

So tell me guys if this is a fake but with a PSA COA whats a guy to do here...

I dont know how to take the screen shots of the auctions to post on here like you all do.

Authentic

It is authentic.

so when you look at the Mantle signature on a flat vs a baseball, its obviously two different mediums to write on.. When I look at a flat Mantle signature it appears to me that its much easier to fake because of the flat smooth surface.  Correct? When it comes to a baseball are you all looking at different points to determine if its legit because of the rounded surface. I mean is it harder; to fake a signature on a baseball vs a flat photo? So would it be safer, less likely, that one would buy a fake if they collected just baseballs?

Jim Leyland just stepped down.

There are just as many forged baseballs as their are flats...
