Hey everyone,
I am looking at purchasing an autographed photo of Ariana Grande. The signature looks legit, the price is a bit low but I inquired where this was obtained in which they stated April 3rd 2019 at Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario before her show which I checked was one of the dates she was there in concert.
I have no reason to believe this is fake other than the low price of 35 dollars plus 13 dollars shipping.
Please let me know what you guys think. Below is the link to the ebay store named gothamgeneralstore, attached are the images of the autographed photo I am inquiring.
Thank you!

Based on the seller's other inventory, I'd hold off on the purchase. There's more than enough that looks suspicious in his Ebay store.
The price tag on an international superstar's autograph supposedly recently obtained in person makes very little sense either.
My opinion is that the above autograph is about as genuine as a $7 bill.
Hard pass.
Also, Rich is giving excellent advice - taking a look at a seller’s inventory is a good idea. Ive been on the fence with an item before and after a look at the other items for sale, I was confident that I was about to be duped.
Sometimes its the sig itself that is off. Other times the price is out of whack. With this particular piece, both seem to be true.
MJ @ $230 buy it now.
There’s the proverbial nail in the coffin.
Run, Trevor. No bueno!
That was one of the first things I saw too. I'm not very good with Jackson, but you really don't have to be to smell that crap.
Side note - here is the Facebook page for the seller/"authenticator."

Looks like a con grapher, which is fine. But he doesn't seem to be an in-person collector outside of the convention scene, which brings a lot of his inventory into question - including the Ariana.
That is unfortunate. This is a great photo and was really excited but I appreciate everyone's advice. I would rather not get duped into a fake autograph. I already have an Ariana Grande signed lithograph from her website on her last cd release but this seemed like a great addition.
Thanks again for preventing me from buying a fake! Unfortunately I agreed on the offer before posting but had second thoughts. I will have to get out of this bind in some way.

Just file an “item not as described” with Paypal. You should be able to get your money back. Just make sure you send it back in the same condition it was received in and ship it with a tracking number and signature required for delivery - that way they cant say they never got it back.
I had a seller once try to “not sign” for the return and it ended up coming back to me and I STILL got my money back.
He knew it was fake, but still had the balls to contact me and ask me where his item was - laughable.
That is awful. I am trying to see if he will cancel first since it hasn't been shipped not have I actually paid for the item yet. If an item has PSA/DNA or JSA on it and the number checks out on the their websites would it be safe to say they are as legitimate as you can get without actually obtaining the autograph directly from the celebrity?

The reason I am asking is there is another photo she autographed that checks out. I have attached the images and here is a link to the ebay seller.

Some of his stuff actually has the photos of the celebrities signing the items he is selling which makes me think he is legit.
Thanks again for looking!
The signature you have referenced above with the JSA cert is a lot closer looking to her 2019 "official" litho signings than the one you originally posted - thats what I'm basing my opinion on. If the OP was also signed in 2019, you would expect it to look similar, no?
So based on the look of the OP and what I know about his MJ for sale, I can say confidently, that I, personally, would not buy from this seller.
Im no Grande expert by any means, so at the end of the day its up to you to make the final decision.
PSA/DNA and the like are human just like you and I - they make mistakes too. So you can't safely put all your eggs in their basket. You just have to put all the pieces of the puzzle together and make the best decision for yourself. And someone will always, always have a counter argument. Its your money and your collection - choose wisely!
Remember, when it comes time to resell, you will have to account for these answers in convincing someone else that your item is the real thing. Just something to think about.
