thanks Jason, that's what i was thinking...a lot of things i didn't like about it, but haven't really studied his signature much.  From what i've seen it's rare he signs the full "ripken", and when he does, it looks different than that...especially the "k".   a bunch of other things looked off too, but just wanted to see. thanks again!

Here is my full Ripken ball from the 90s.  Looks way different from the one you posted.  I would definitely stay away.

Thanks Steel & William for the info.  I will definitely add that to my knowledge base and keep on the lookout for another Ripken.
