Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a signed LP from Ron Asheton and the Empty Set 7". I sent it to PSA and they couldnt render an opinion, but i did go ahead with the purchase b/c the price was good. I have compared it to quite a few PSA and JSA certed Ron Ashetons and i see some things i like and others that i dont. Asheton seemed to sign his N's in a unique manner, that is fairly distinctive and i dont see that in this example. I was able to find a few examples though, in which the N's were more precise and full that were certed, such as in my signature. Although they were not the norm. The rest of the signature looks fairly typical of Asheton to me.

The seller stated that he had acquired this item and numerous others from a radio personality when they died. (at least i think that is correct). In any event,, the story was that this individual was friends with the band and Ron and Soctt in particular. The seller wasnt selling but a few other autographs though, so couldnt gather much information that way.

In any event i would greatly appreciate any and all input on this autographs authenticity.
