"The yearbook belongs to its original owner, a former George Washington High School student, who attended George Washington High School from 1961 through 1964.  This student’s (the owner’s) picture is in the 1961 yearbook on the page with the pictures of the students in Home Room 317.

Every spring, students, who ordered yearbooks, were given the yearbooks and were permitted to carry the books with them throughout the day over the course of a couple of days.  Students were allowed to ask other students to autograph their books before and after class, while changing classes and at lunchtime, as well as in other locations before the first bell of the day and after the last bell of the day.  One autograph, in the front of this yearbook, is dated May 23, 1961, which verifies when students were passing the 1961 yearbooks around for signatures.

Jim Morrison was one of the students from whom the owner of the yearbook requested and received a signature that year."

What do you guys think? I notice no separations in his name and no inscription written next to his signature like the other students who signed.

DAM! I  was so close to winning the Jim Morrison Yearbook! Was only one bid away. It ended at 4,000$ plus 50$ shipping.

I placed a max bid of $3,850.00 with 10 seconds left and lost it too. I know how you feel.             Jack...

Yes, I'm hurting such a nice piece to miss out on. I do remember! didn't know that was you! the yellow star. My max was 3,950$ Jim Morrison autographs don't come up as much and the autograph was bold, and perfect. The Last Yearbook, which was not as nice, was listed at $9,999.99 and it sold.

I real your pain Gio. In hindsight, i wish i woulda went higher too as i'm sure that's what you're feeling. I am very fortunate to own 2 J. Morrison signed checks and this still hurts.       Best, Jack...

Yes, regret is the worst feeling. Those checks are keepers. They have one check up but the seller says it might be glued to the backing and being sold as is. I once had a chance to purchase an authentic Jim Morrison Signed Album for $1,500!
