I am pretty confident this is real. Jimmy Page has several custom guitars from Gibson, and several models he numbered and signed. One of them was a JImmy Page #2 addition Les Paul. These were custom jobs and a limited number was produced, all of which Page signed on the back, where this signature is located. The price on them is extreme, normally at the very least 10 grand, and most of the time closer to 20 grand. Page also supposedly played all of them before there sales. I imagine this amounted to Jimmy picking up the instrument strumming a few chords and moving on.

As long as the seller had the proper paperwork showing this was a Jimmy Page #2 custom shop job, then i would feel confident its real. Page signatures in this production run look pretty much just like this. So i would say its authentic. There were a few of these for sale on ebay not to long ago. But they are rare instruments

This was on ebay all last week. Over $20,000
This guitar and I believe # 5. Bidding started at $20,000 each with all the paperwork
