I have a John Paul Jones myself but I'm not an expert.
However to be honest, I am not convinced yours is real. There are some uncommon things about it. It is no easy signature, but I don't really like the John.
Curious what others think of it. Maybe you can ask Roger.

It look fine to me. His usual fats in-person signature.

Richard, do you have similar examples from the one of the topic starter?
The transition between Paul and Jones, the J and O of John,... I think it is rather atypical. At least it is quite a big difference with yours and mine.

I think PSA got this one right. With an autograph that has a lot of natural variance, the importance of a large exemplar database is emphasized.

Here are a few autographs that John Paul Jones signed for me earlier this year. Some were written just a few minutes apart, or even back to back, and still vary quite a bit.

I'd say chances of getting a nice looking one, like yours, are likely better on a larger item.

Hi Nicholas. I think this is authentic. His signature can vary, but I think this has enough positive traits to be genuine. For comparison, here are two signatures I obtained in person back to back.

Wow, Not the best John Paul Jones signature I've seen,...Most of his sigs are more "proper,"easy to read, and signed much "slower."...but with COA/PSA,...then it must be real. Congrats on the Autograph !!! Awesome!
