Johnny Cash autograph

I obtained this a while ago, and am starting to question its authenticity. I believe the 'J' is a bit odd, and overall I have some doubts with this signature. Luckily I won this auction at a fairly low price, so if it is not authentic its not a too expensive of a lesson. It is a signed page from a softcover edition of 'Man in Black'. I would appreciate if anyone could offer their opinion.

You are correct. There is something "weird" with the J. The end of the Cash seems weird to me as well. I am no expert. I have a couple of John Cash items that I can compare it too.

Thank you for the help/opinion. The only 'explanation' I can come up with is that this autograph was done on an inside page of a soft cover book. Perhaps this could explain the 'odd' appearance....or its a fake. The page is dated, and this date corresponds to a concert Cash was performing in Florida at the time...I bought the book from a seller in FL.

I am novice, but to me, this autograph is challenging because I think it has a combination of odd features(indicating a fake), and features that might suggest is it authentic.

I am not saying its not real by any means. Just that it does not look like the 3 I have. Roger Epperson is very knowledgeable with Johnny Cash. I would ask for his opinion. He has his own website etc..
