I've stumbled across this site a few weeks back and realized there is a huge group of knowledgable folks here, and I have already learned a ton!

I've been wanting to add a Jordan jersey to my collection and I stumbled across the below items (2 different jerseys) and was hoping someone here can help me validate if these look legitimate.  The only thing stopping me from pulling the trigger is that they came from everyone's favorite - GA.

I realize not everything from GA is a fake, so Im hoping someone can help me out. Any tips on how to spot a real Jordan over a fake would be great as well.

Thanks all!

A Blanket claim like what? The fact that the value of an item is depreciated with a GA sticker on it?

That someone with a real jordan autograph wouldn't take it to GA
If you believe that then you should do some research

Oh I've done my research and have for many years with Global, GA or whatever they are going by these days and nothing can ever be said good about them. The piles of fake Jordans can just be added to the piles of fake LeBron, Kobe, Thousands of Derek Jeters, Puig, Trout, Koufax, Mantle, DiMaggio, and the list goes on and on. So with that being said would you take a real Jordan that you had to GA over PSA/DNA and/or JSA and lose $500 or more in doing so?

Any day . Cause when I sell an autograph , I am the one backing it up . I wouldn't sell a Jordan for a $500 loss . I would guarantee the autograph is authentic and ask my asking price , close to or around market value .

I am just curious to what you think a in person ,with a psa cert , Michael Jordan jersey is worth ?

Cause I know in the end , there is no price guide to tell us what autographs are worth .

Doing a past auction search between Jordan global jerseys and they go for $600-800 with a regular auction (which never draws the higher purchase price ) and as much as$650-900 for buy it nows. Psa is in that same range. I don't think there is a $500 difference. ALso psa is very very tough on IN person Jordans. They've turned this one I got in person , as well as a few others. This was signed in 2008 or 9 . I don't remember. Jsa is also tough on Jordan . Both companies don't tell you jack crap about why it didn't pass. Global is very friendly and Sipe is approachable when you use global. Maybe that's why people with real autographs would use them . Most people don't know about this boards dislike for Global . So to say every single person who uses them , sells forgeries is irresponsible in a sense. But like I said , I was judging the autograph .

A good chunk of folks do. Compare closing prices of items authenticated by PSA, JSA and GA. GA items close the lowest on average. That isn't just a coincidence. Sure every once in awhile an unknowing buyer will pay comparable prices on the GA item but it sure isn't the norm.
But they asked for the authenticity of the item . Joe is buying it . You are giving your opinion of the company , not the autograph . If the autograph is real , the autograph is real . People will pay what they want . It maybe easier to sell with a uda sticker . But you also get a sit down graph and iron clad authenticity .

I don't like either item, both look a little off to me. As for GA, I have purchased items with a GA Authentication as often you can pick up items that are real for a fraction of the cost of one with UD or PSA etc.

Here are some more in person jordans to share. I still gotta pull out the one I got in vegas this year.

damn.. all so different to my untrained eyes.  He's not making it easy on us lol

Yeah man . The in person ones are tough .
