So, a friend of a friend contacted me, saying she wanted to buy her best friend a piece of Rolling Stone memorabilia and asked what I had. I told her I had an Exile on Main Street CD signed by the band, but didn't want to part with it (cost me a fortune at R&R Auction years ago, and I got the artist, who did the Endless Summer poster also, to sign it when I interviewed him).

I told her I had a zippo lighter with the Stones logo, but I didn't know where it was. I also said I have about 6 of their albums, but you can get those cheap at a used record store.

When I told her I had a signed Keith Richards poster, she flipped. She said that's her friends favorite in the group. I told her I'd sell it to her for $350 and she...well...she kinda freaked out at the price. I told her autographed items don't go cheap.

My question is ... was I wrong? Or should I have said first, "Unless you're planning on spending an awful lot on your friend, it's not worth inquiring about autographed items from the Stones."
