not authentic

nope.

I would not buy it myself.

If someone is charging for that item it's illegal. Like breaking the law, and I'm serious. I am glad you asked because if you're a nice person you'll get ripped off by a jerk criminal. If you find authentic examples (there are plenty of good Beatles autographs to see) and compare them to things you find, like that piece, you'll be able to sort the wheat from the chaff. People have done Internet Beatles autograph studies and they're worth checking out. Because, when you see the real ones and then ones like that you realize that one ain't good enough for a******.

well said jamil, well said.

Item sold for £340 at  Biddle+Webb auction (U.K.)

Thanks for pointing that out. Not surprising, but unfortunate for the buyer. If real, you could almost put another zero behind that price. It's obvious that the auction house is not taking responsibility for authenticity. Here's what their web site says:

12. Although care has been taken to ensure the accuracy of the catalogue, the Auctioneers give no warranty as to authenticity and condition of the goods and no sale shall be invalidated by reason of any lots being incorrectly described in the catalogue.  It is the Purchaser responsibility to check the authenticity and condition of the items prior to the sale.
