Good evening,

I’m looking to solicit members opinions on an item I am looking to get signed by the actors who played the four hobbits in the Lord of the Rings movies. This is an art print by Aaron Horkey (roughly 20” x 40”) and runs a few hundred dollars on eBay. I am debating whether to get the item signed itself, probably in silver metallic sharpie, or on black index cards that will be laid in the matting around the print once I get it professionally framed.

I guess I am wondering what you guys would do in this instance or maybe you have some ideas that I maybe haven’t thought of yet? Any and all thoughts and opinions would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you!

Derek

Thanks Mike!  I can’t decide if I want to add the other 2 hobbits or leave it as-is. I like the balance of the signatures now, and if I add the other hobbits, do I then add John Rhys Davies? It’s almost never-ending.

On second look, I agree 100% about not using gold on Derek’s poster. I’d go with silver sharpie or paint pen.

In addition to the print, I am also planning on having this ink drawing I did, in the white border under each of their characters. A friend suggested I have them sign it in silver sharpie, but I am thinking black ink pen, same ink I used for the drawing.

Any thoughts?

I agree with your thought - black ink pen in the white border under each actor.  Great job on the artwork, also!

Thank you!
