A Manchester UK - based gang is producing and selling forged signed football shirts on a mass scale.

These individuals are replicating Certificates of Authenticity (COAs) and holograms from companies — including Icons Memorabilia, as well as those associated with Manchester United and Manchester City — in order to sell counterfeit items as genuine.

This organised operation is generating significant revenue through the sale of forged memorabilia featuring signatures from high-profile players such as Lionel Messi, Diego Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo, and David Beckham, among others.

These counterfeit items are being sold well below the market value and are appearing across multiple eBay accounts & auction houses and possibly through memorabilia businesses that were once considered reputable.

What Collectors Should Do:

• Exercise caution when purchasing signed shirts or other memorabilia, especially if the price seems unusually low.

• Verify authenticity directly with the company named on the COA or hologram before making a purchase.

• Report suspicious sellers or listings immediately to eBay and relevant authorities.

• Share this warning with fellow collectors and dealers to help prevent further fraud.
