Anyone have any opinions on this, my parents got this for me as gift and I looked up the place they got it from and it has a sketchy rep. At the price they paid I would hate for it to be wasted on a fake.

Thanks much, I've never dabbled in autographed stuff and just know it's easy to get screwed.

I think Frank Oz is genuine but I do not know Mark Hamill as well. You should not look at Mark Hamill's convention autograph because he is paid and sits down and writes nicely.

I'm really not sure myself, I've done a lot of googling and the "z" in Oz seems to be missing some extra curves that I see in almost every example. Similar things with the Hamill.

In my opinion both are authentic.

I agree with you Tyler after looking at it closely.

The Oz, in my opinion, is definitely genuine. Very nice Yoda inscription as well. The Hamill appears to be a little tougher. It is very loopy compared to others in my collection. Considering all the shows and autograph signings he does, his autographs are very consistent. There are certainly aspects of the Hamill that are spot on, but others that are off, such as the loop around his first name. Usually it is not so loopy and more of a triangular/trioval shape.

However, I am going to lean towards genuine for the Hamill as well, but I am not as confident as I was with the Oz.

If I may ask, where did your parents obtain the autograph?
Antiquities California in San Francisco. Reviews seem sketchy for authenticity. I'm really surprised you all think the oz is real. Every example I see on the Internet shows the Z looking quite different from mine. I saw exactly what you saw with the Hammil in my searches as well. I'm new to this but from what I've learned people are usually consistent with stuff like what I've noticed.
Antiquities does have its issues as it pretty much sells anything that comes through their doors for resale, but they do have some authentic pieces. Most of the issues come from the big names such as Michael Jackson and The Beatles.

I can see why you are concerned about the Oz, but given the formation of the "frank" and the "yoda" inscription, I believe it is an authentic signature. I've seen Oz give some nasty scribbles for his last name before so I am really not concerned about that.

Thanks,

Kevin
