Hi Ivo..yes I think it is too...the only thing that has me wondering is the signed year '83'...I've never known MJ sign the year..have you?

Yes i have seen it before that he writes that year, but not often.

The 1998 thing was the year he thought he would die not the date as that signature above looks like an early one..the other above, (81) looks pretty genuine too so perhaps it was just an early phase...I'll do a bit of research..thanks Ivo :-)

I agree Yannick but can you shed any light on the 'year signing' conundrum? Lovely signature and everything for me is right with it but I've not seen many where mj signed the date and this is throwing me

It was pretty rare that Michael inscribed with the date/year but sometimes he did, especially in the 80s. Here you can see some other examples:
