Mickey Mantle Replica Signed Ball??? Ethics Question

Does anyone know how they get a ball to look like it has been signed?  Is it by machine or printed on the fabric (leather) of the baseball?  Could these replica balls fool a dealer?  Its curious because I got excited until I read the description.

My only guess is silkscreen printing. For I do not know if you could do the autopen process on that surface.
