Hello, I’m looking for insight on a signature signed on a “short snorter” note from WW2. It is France’s, 5 Franc, Series 1944 with six signatures on the reverse. I have confirmed two service members on the note in France following 1944. Buckey Walter’s did do a USO tour with several other notable MLB players also during this time. However, I am stuck on the style of the “W”. I see many similarities in his other signatures and this except for the “W”. I have found zero examples showing it in the same style. I’d like to confirm or exclude whether it is his or not. Thank You for your help. This is part of my WW2 currency collection.
