Musicians Who Sell Their Signatures In Shop.

We now have a Musician-Direct Autograph Sales Forum where you can post individual discussions of new offerings. It's a big change—and a big improvement. We closed this discussion after 8 years but it will always be available to read.

The new system has been in place for 2 months now and it's working well.

Though I recall a member posting a blog asking about this a while ago, I could not relocate it for my purpose in this discussion.

It can be nice when one stumbles upon a musician's shop (via their website), to see that they are selling their autographs. I figured this could grow as a wee database for listing those musicians who partake in this.

I recently recieved a couple press photos signed in ballpoint from John Mayall's website (http://www.johnmayall.com/merch.html). I am also aware that you can purchase signed CDs from Peter Noone of Herman's Hermits(http://peternoone.com/store/). John 5 ( formerly Marilyn Manson, Rob Zombie guitarist) sells various items signed, with an option to dedicate.

So, does anyone else know of this being done by other musicians?

I got both, because the price is really pretty minimal for a star this big. Usually vinyl is always the more desired and valuable item.

Lot of young pop stars are selling signed vinyl (and unsigned vinyl as well) - it's more the rule than the exception these days. I've purchase signed vinyl from Dua Lipa, Betty Who, Charli XCX, Aurora, and a few others the past couple years, and they're all in their early 20s.

I was surprised when Lorde and Lana Del Rey - genuine music stars for the past few years - did the signed preorders. Demi I really wasn't expecting at all either, as she's already huge. I was a bit stunned the other day to se 50 million + twitter followers.

At least artist these days, give you the opportunity to buy directly from them, the more so, the better.

Funny enough, Demi just made news for refusing to sign an autograph for a fan at LAX. She told her "You will just put it on eBay"

I find it, just amazing that you can buy something signed for 20 dollars of these artist, but if it were a dealer on ebay,selling something they had signed, the mark up would be significantly higher.

Was it really a fan? A lot off times the airport graphers really aren't. I've noticed some younger musicians who are kind of stingy (or worse) at airports are just fine signing for fans who are at the shows.
