I haven't been impressed with what I've seen from Sign Here. Whether they're a mixed bag or sell straight garbage, I don't know. I've stumbled across a few items here and there, and they always strike me as bad. Like this obvious forgery:
Regarding your note about autographs you can't authenticate, I agree. One thing I try to recommend to people is to avoid bad examples and sloppy autographs altogether, unless you get them yourself for free. There are some sources that are quite solid and can be trusted for authenticity, regardless of the quality of the signature. But you do have to consider how difficult it might be to resell later if the signature's "provenance" is based solely on the seller's word.
I think you speak well..but you said like me, is almost impossible make a COA about the rush signature....but "the expert" do that the same....you think is professional?? say to the persons: "trust me, is real!!" when they can't know exactly..? honestly I think also many important website dialer certificated of the u.a.c.c. ..are trustable in the measure the persons want to trust...anyway I think also the many pics together with all that actors, must to have some meaning.., that guy is hugged with so many stars..., for sure he has been with them..., we can't say the same about many dialer who sell autographs bought from other persons..., anyway, for you which are dialer trustable, not only cause are member of u.a.c.c.?
It depends on what you're looking for. UACC is somewhat helpful, but not all of the dealers are very good, and there have been some genuinely bad eggs in the mix in the past.
There are some threads on this forum regarding who the most reliable sellers are. You can always ask for advice on a particular item as well.
thank's, anyway you didn't told me what do you think about the many pics together with all the stars of the guy of Sign here...is not trustable that?
I don't pay much attention of those types of pics. They obviously don't mean much in this instances, as the seller is not a 100% in-person collector. Many forgery sellers use photos of celebrities signing or photos with stars to sell fake items.
I agree if the pics are just about the star who sign the autograph..can be a pic of other situation and persons....but in his almost 500 pics is always him with them, hugged or giving the hand...Is really impressive! ...one two pics can be fake..not 500! :)
He's selling a fake Bono, and I've stumbled upon some fake Florence Welch items on Amazon he's selling too. Dan mentioned that he's seeing some stuff he's not liking either. Maybe he's a mixed bag, but he's not the 100% authenticity assurance he claims to be. Maybe most of his stuff is okay and we just happen to be noticing the trash.
In my Country, the only autograph I buy, are of some famous Italian actor of the old times, but I use to buy if made on some postcard or letter where they wrote something, cause in that way I'm able to check also the style when they wrote, the kind and the age of the ink, the kind and the age of the paper, the meaning of the words for to know if right for that person and situation.., the pressure of the line..so, many many things...but I can cause I have many elements for to study....to give a COA about a signature made with a big pen on a picture, also if well done, I think can't be never totally trustable, cause bealive me, with some exercise the great part of the sign can be done perfectly! ..someone not so much cause too complicated, but normally yes.
At the end, the many pics of that guy are the sign he met them, after, if them made to him one autograph and he sell five...no one can know! ah ah ah
I viewed a number of signatures through www.autographdealer.com . IMO, I came across a lot of forgeries, like Jack Nicholson, 30 Seconds To Mars, Coldplay, Garbage w/ Shirley Manson, Katy Perry, Lady GaGa, U2. There's just so many, I wouldn't feel comfortable purchasing anything from that seller.
Saying the Garbage photos are "in-person." So he's either 1) a liar or 2) the forger.
with that I don't remember to have seen pics..anyway, I never bought there, but the point of the topic was to be..someone can help me to trust to some seller if one day I decide to buy in USA some autograph...
I wasn't impressed by autograph dealer, either. I bought something off autograph dealer or sign here and it was deemed the item I bought, through all of you good people, was a fake, so I never went through them again.
I don't trust them. Also, I spent a lot of money on a widely believed to be forgery of Michael Jackson, which is the item I bought from autograph dealer.
