They were known as Chas and Dave in the UK and a lot of hit singles in the 1980's. Chas Hodges before that was in a lot of bands and his name crops up all over the place. He worked with Joe Meek as a session musician. He backed Jerry Lee Lewis and Gene Vincent on tour - I have hand-signed autographs from both Jerry and Gene from that 63 UK tour. Chas also worked with the Outlaws who then featured Richie Blackmore of later Deep Purple. Chas was in all sorts of bands in the 60's but really hit fame from mid 70's with his partnership with Dave Peacock when they became Chas and Dave. I remember as a kid their hit "Rabbit" and another one called "Gertcha". I doubt his music went much further than UK and maybe Europe.
