Hey, everyone.
So, bought this funko pop "Arrow" signed by Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Caity Lotz and Emily Bett Rickards for my girlfriend for her birthday. She loves it, but as it's from ebay from somebody who apparently went to the conventions for their signatures. I just need a 2nd opinion on them.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Here are the pics of it.
Thanks again you great lot.

First impression is that the signatures look really slow, which is usually not a good sign. Who's selling it?
Well, I've found that this seller also sold some similarly shaky Arrow items. I'm going to go ahead and make the call that this seller is a liar and a seller. A quick look at numerous Arrow autographs on Ebay (from legit sellers) will likewise show you that the actual autographs should not look this shaky. They are drawn by a forger, not signed by the celebrities.
Here are a couple other red flags:
1) Conventions are not free. In fact, they're darned expensive. And these guests charge quite a bit for their signatures. Amell alone has been charging $60 recently at Wizard world shows in the States (he might be higher now). The price for a pop figure signed by four a convention should be much, much higher than £36.00. There are many signed pop figures from conventions on Ebay. Take a quick look at how there prices compare.
2) Cheap forger used one pop figure to cut costs. Almost no one who's getting these things signed tries to jam a bunch of signatures on one cheap figure, especially if they're already paying the convention premiums.
3) No specifics about the conventions is a nice red flag. When? Where? Any photos? It's a lazy lie in this case.
Seems likely this seller was just trying to squeeze a few more bucks out of some extra pop figures they were trying to dump on eBay.
Thanks so much for your time in finding this. I did have my suspicions as something just didn't seem right. They look even worse in hand too. I have an Amell signed pop already, authentic, just wanted gf to have one. But looks nothing like the official one. So I know this will bum her out. But I want my money back for sure.
I've already filed a return form. Again, thanks for assisting me in this.
Time to use ammo on these forgers.
Meant to say "seller is a liar and a scam artist" above (typo near the beginning), although I think it was effectively implied
Here's something to make you laugh. Their reply...
"I had it signed by him in person but if you want to return it that fine."
Like I said, I think he or she scribbled some names on the figure to squeeze a few extra bucks out of it.
My sister wants to go to Walker Stalker con next month. Amell and several other Arrow cast members are scheduled to be there. I'll see how much they're charging.
Here's a follow up:
"Done. In response to your questions I had it signed at the City of Heroes convention in Birmingham, I have a picture of me with Stephen from the actual event. I also purchased a photo of him which he also signed as well as the pop. Cameras we not allowed in the autograph hall, stewards were quite strict about this rule. The signature I got on the pop is different from the photo he signed and its vastly different from the autograph I got from him in person at the first City of Heroes convention the year before."
Still doesn't address how slow and shaky all the signatures are and why he was giving it away so cheaply. Look at the pen strokes and how many stops and starts there are. This is not how someone signs their autograph, unless perhaps they're older or disabled. It's obvious something is wrong without even having any knowledge of the signatures.
I figured they'd have a story.
Yeah, agree with you. I basically said. "So, you had 3 pops signed by him and a signed picture. And, also you had your picture taken with him? Well, attach it to the return process and ease my mind then."
Soon as she I think it is, says "I can't" or sends a bs picture. I'll run it through google and catfish her.
Either way I don't believe her. It's like she just googled "Arrow convention UK" and just chose a date it was on.
They just sent me this.
