Hi!

Any help with this Neil Armstrong (just as Neil) would be greatly appreciated. Do you think it´s good or bad?

Thanks for helping!

Never seen him sign just 'Neil,' so would need further clarification.
He signed a lot of his letters as Neil, and this looks like a cut from a letter
Didn't know that. Chances are good then this could be real and Neil Armstrong autographs are highly sought after.

I'd get one but I don't have pockets that deep, sadly.

I agree Mike, this looks like a cut from one of his business related papers, that he signed this way.

Do you think this looks genuine?

Looks good.

Thank you Mike and Robin!

Would also really appreciate more opinions on this Neil Armstrong above!

When I tried to type in the certification number at JSA I got this message:

The certificate number Y43793 currently does not match our records. Note: After the authentication process is complete, please allow 3 weeks for certified items to be entered into our database.

When I asked the seller about this he said that he got it back from JSA just a week ago, and that´s why it doesn´t show up on the JSA database yet.

Does that sound possible to you guys and girls?

Thanks for helping!

Happens all the time, post an image and I'd be happy to look at it.

Now I´m a little lost... :-)

It´s the one on top that doesn´t show up in the JSA database. My english is pretty crappy sometimes so maybe I were a bit unclear in my previous reply. I have edited that reply, so it´s more clear that I´m talking about the same autograph as earlier...

I were just looking for more opinions and an explanation to why it didn´t show up at JSA. Thanks for helping me with that!

I think what Mike was trying to say was that items recently authenticated don't show up always in the database for a while if they are new (eg. few weeks). This backs up the seller's story.

Also, I wasn't aware that Neil did sign just Neil on some of his things as I have only seen the full autograph before (well just a full signature rather than name).

If you are after an Armstrong, good luck to you Jan as you're amassing quite a collection now and I am very jealous haha. I may have to do what you did and sell off some of my collection to afford a high-end autograph - what I would do for a Lennon. :)

Oh sorry I misread, I thought you had another autograph you wanted opinions on. Both PSA and JSA have a delay of a few weeks for newly authenticated items to show up in their online database. I know you can call PSA and they will check and make sure it's legit, I'm not sure if JSA has the same customer service. It's worth a shot if you don't want to wait a few weeks. Also, encapsulated stuff is not easily faked. I doubt someone would go out of their way to fake a JSA encapsulation that well for a few hundred dollar autograph, but hey, you never know.

No worries Mike, I really appreciate your help!

And Robin, thank you! But I'm quite sure I can´t afford this right now, so no need for you to be jealous right now... ;-) But it´s always better to take the opportunity to learn a bit even if I don´t buy this one.
