ok.. new topic... WORST LOOKING AUTOGRAPH YOU'VE EVER GOTTEN!!

this should cause some stir- maybe not... what's the worst looking autograph you've ever obtained? You could say Al Pacino's autograph is bad... but I say there are worse out there. Martin Gore from Depeche Mode is pretty bad, but his autograph is artwork to him... here's one of the worst autographs I've ever gotten. I got this the other day at Cleveland Browns training camp. It's their starting QB Colt Mccoy. I believe the autograph is garbage, and it's deliberate. I heard Chad Henne once say that he purposely gives out a different autograph for fans than he does for money (this way, he's still a nice guy for free.)... i bet Colt does the same thing as I saw his autograph on a football at training camp that you could buy directly from the team if you bought season tickets. and it was every letter and beautiful.

There's no question in my experience with collecting autos for cash and for free ATHLETES in particular sign differently for free then they do when getting paid....I will also add I have been pretty fortunate getting free autos in person that really were not all that bad...the worst free auto I got was Jose Cardinal who signed my stadium seat upside down and vertical...it looks ridiculous but the autos not that bad...I would also like to add that Derek Jeter and Alex Rodriguez are also horrible signers for free mostly towards adults...not so much towards children...Derek Jeter never signs a baseball for free on the sweet spot and its often rushed and in one motion....Alex on the other hand signs extremely bad for free as well...My friend told me he went to get Alex one day and he recognized a fan that got him the day before in the same place and signed his magazine just with a capital AR....now thats a duche bag move for sure...and Reggie Jackson for free is no better...

On top is a perfect example of what a free Derek Jeter looks like...AN ON PURPOSE MESS !!! on the bottom is a signed Jeter jersey from Steiner Sports that he was paid to sign that would cost the average fan 4 figures....WHAT A DIFFERENCE... there's no question athletes sign differently for free then they do when getting paid for it in my opinion

worst ever seen as far as baseball autos go Vladimir Guerero and Ichiro Suzuki...both are quite crumby...totaly un readable...as far as freebees I have been very fortunate and the autos really were not half bad

Those McCoy sigs are horrible. I think your right. I was at a book signing with McCoy and sig he put in book much is nicer.

Wow. Very nice kid in person. Would never have guessed that from him. He seemed much like Rogers-Cromartie in demeanor. DRC for example signs non stop and sig always looks the same. Kurt Warner another I have tons of. Always gives a clean sig whether you pay for it or not. Guess some just not as thoughtful to everyday fans as others.

D_R_C_ is his sig. LOL. Same free as if you paid for it. I've actually got his each way. Was like $20 at a show in Phoenix. He signs non stop for free. Was at show so I bought one since I was there. Super nice kid. Breaston was another nice kid who signed the same everytime. Cardinals lost their two best "for free" signers from my experience.

Beanie is a horrible signature. Looks like he can barely write. I've got 4 or 5 from him. Got one from Cardinals directly since we sponsor them on a full size helmet. Still looks like a 5 year old wrote it. Of all the Cardinals I've found him to be the toughest to get for free. He likes to skip out on fans or pretend to be on cell phone. Injured and can't play but when the bell rings he hard to beat sprinting for his car.

I think I have the one who will win this contest haha. Vernand Morency, football player signs nothing but a checkmark.  Even on his paid signings he offers up nothing but a one stroke signature.  

 

If you ever have a chance to meet him in person,  ask him.....   May I have your checkmark?   haha.
